Retracing the footsteps of LORD RAMA
In Rameswaram we visited only two important places first of which is Ramanatha Swamy temple and the other being Dhanushkodi
SRI RAMANATHASWAMY TEMPLE
.
The primary deity being Lord Shiva in the form of Lingam.It is believed to be made by Sita devi using mud and sand .
DHANUSHKODI
On the south eastern tip of India ,is located a small town of mythological importance known as Dhanushkodi.(dhanush meaning bow and kodi meaning end).It is believed as the place where Lord Rama built the the RAMA SETU or RAMA BRIDGE OR ADAM'S BRIDGE using the floating stones to rescue Sita from her kidnapper Ravana the king of Lanka.
